Oversoul Beta Revolution

As you OS players know, this week we had no release... Because next week Oversoul will be getting a whole new makeover! (as shown in the main site page and the clan's discussion page which should be in the announcement page, come to think of it...) Complete with a new battle engine, new sound effects, new cards and most likely deck customization (once again, all shown in the discussion page...)

Now that the game has received it's new look. I would like to hear your thoughts on this "evolution"... What would you like to see? Is the new engine totally cool looking? or is it just too childish and ugly? Are artifacts going to be introduced or not? Is Alexis FINALLY getting a legendary form?!

Yeah, I agree. I hope the final version won't be like this... It's still nice that you can talk while you fight other people though, they need to add a run away button for AFK people or hunting rare characters. The lobby chatbox is okay, I'm complaining more for the battle engine.

The beta revolution is just too complicated and they changed the cards looks/styles and ESPECIALLY those 200 and 500 attack cards are just too much for a kid...i mean just look at it , what would my family think if they see me playing OS with those cards in my hands? T_T

soon they may start selling card packs on the shelves of toys r us that give artifacts ingame an monsters

and they already did that by giving a free rare char if you buy the sketch book from heromart ( or whatever)

i meant literal card packs like:

say they sold alpha pirate card pack, the first card on the pack is alpha pirate himself and then his entire deck

oh to sum up my thoughts they could possibly make os into a trading card game. custom decks would be easier to make that way

well it could be molded into a tactical board game aswell

so oversoul will be turned into dungeons and dragons....kinda

i honestly would like to see it as a real life card game, with collectable figurines that come with each set

i tryed the beta once, while many of the macanics are fixed...the numbers are much to high to be really be called a tradianle card game...even if it has moven parts....now characters do not die after depleateing them of health
im over all iffy about it...it is to far flashy for a miltonius kind of thing, after all the old format/menubar/combat/cardholder....hail 70%+ of the game seems almost kiddie...i thought this was sopussed a more graphic game for AE

Well , all I hope for atleast they discrease the number of damage , deffencee and heal output back to normal....

You'll be happy to know that the glitch where the characters die even though their HPs are not completely depleted is fixed, thanks to the new patch. Hopefully.

The counter glitch is still present, it's a glitch where you do a counter at low health and if the enemy keeps attacking you and your health hits 0 after the turn is done, you'll become immortal for a short while. This works for both sides. However, if enough damage is dealt on the next turn, you die. Hope they fix this soon.

They're testing Leader Boards now on the new patch in the testing server, it leaves a record of your wins and it updates every 2 mins. But don't do it, PvP sucks here. Major lag is present and sometimes your opponent freezes and won't attack at all.

The new interface is fine to me, the whole point of the health and attack increase is for stats and artifacts that will probably play a role in the future. It's not complex at all, even a kid could play it.

And the card designs are much better than the ones in the old beta, they were kinda bland IMO... Just get rid of the hands holding them during a battle. It looks silly... >.>

this method would only work if the cards are purchasable, if not this'll look like kingdom hearts chain of memories

The leaderboard test isn't in just the testing server, it's all 3 servers. I've been pvping in Nulgath server and I'm 2nd on All Time

there is a bug which came with this new revulution , most of the time while fight an ice char after a few turns your char automatically charges up ( even if you don't want to ) and ends your turn for like 4~ 7 turns which puts you in a great disadvantage then you can control your char again , i just hope this bug fixes soon. btw this mostly happens with these chars : barbarian ( all forms ) ice nomad and mostly old ice chars.

ALSO , viodknights are buged too , after a few turns it freezes. -_-

the screenshot button is not working since this "beta revolution" i wonder if it was for making OVERSOUL better or worse...
